It was good, but some things are hard to understand. Images depicting deals could help.
I love this app! It’s got card games I have never heard of, and gives me suggestions on what to play with my family for gatherings! I also have Card Games for Dummies, which is my favorite go to book for card game rules!
Maybe have a little section for how to shuffle cards and different methods of shuffling. Seems like a cool feature that would help a fair group.
My husband and I like to track our ongoing scores for the card games we play together. It would be really great to add a score card feature to each game. You can add players to each score card and track your ongoing game play. We have not found an app that does this but I feel like bicycle brand would really be able to make that an amazing feature.
This is a simple but very useful resource for various card games with my favorite feature being… favorites! Keeping track of games you’re interested in is great. However, the developers should know that every shopping link under the Bicycle tab is non-functional.
Like the app it is good to know the rule when I play game and learn new ones. Adding video on how to play it and being able of download will improve a ton. Also the aesthetic need a improvement.
must be ongrid to use
Solitaire games lacked details that made playing difficult to understand for first timer. I had a bunch of questions. Like, what happens with the waste pile, and when does the game end if I didn’t win. Idk, I had to find a YouTube video that clarified everything. It makes me wonder about other games and how detailed they are.
It is ridiculous to have a leader board when many of those on the leader board cheat by quitting when they know they will lose.
This app is good has a lot of different card games and teaches you how to play!
The only thing actually two things, i wish the app would teach different shuffles, and it tells u the value of the cards but doesn’t tell which ones to deal.
Ive been wanting to learn and play some more card games with my kids now that they’re old enough. I downloaded this game after seeing a blog post explaining the game “golf” and purchasing some packs of Bicycle cards, which advertised the app. I looked up golf and there were instructions for six-card golf, but they were lacking in detail, even compared to the blog I read, which had much more in-depth explanation of the rules, along with variations. I then looked up Solataire, which I haven’t played in YEARS. I couldn’t remember some of the finer points. The instructions left a lot to be desired. In the case of both games, if I hadn’t already played or seen better instructions, I would’ve been totally lost. I think they could improve the app by including a few pictures, especially of the setup of the initial playing area, etc. including rule variations would be great, too, since most games have them (ie. Growing up, I remember playing Solataire with the rule that you could only play a red on a black and vice versa and in the “Golf” version I initially saw, it was a nine-card version). Really, this app had nothing I couldn’t find easier and with better detail online.
This will make the best card player ever because of this app DOWNLOAD RIGHT NOW
You cannot be set these rules to learn a card game. This is reasonable if you want a quick refresher for a game you already know but if you want to learn something new forget it.
Good resource for card game rules but now the app no longer works. Just see a white screen then the app closes when attempting to open.
The whole point of this was to have a reference for when I’m off grid, climbing, etc...but it doesn’t work reliably without an internet connection
I like that there are a ton of options for games to play with other people when you have a deck of cards, but I think if these games were playable on devices through this app would be exponentially better. I would like to be able to play some cribbage or hearts while I’m on the go but all on one app. I guess I’m looking for convenience which I think would also help the company.
After again reading other reviews here, and hoping for the best, finally bothered to download and spot-check this neglected app, which presently hasn’t been updated in 2 years. On a positive note, this app does seem to work ok with iOS 13 on a iPhone SE (1st generation, small 4” display). However, long-standing problems remain unaddressed. For example, for 6 or 7 years (!), multiple others reviewers here have complained that the play instructions for the popular games, Hearts (!), and 500 Rum [a Rummy variant also commonly known as Rummy 500 — although the app *doesn’t* even find its rules when simply searching for either “Rummy” or “Rummy 500” (!)], are, actually, incomplete and unplayable (!). Unfortunately, that’s still the case. And that’s seriously inexcusable. Even worse, upon further exploration, we found that 500 Rum, with its incomplete, unplayable rules, is actually the very *first* game listed and *suggested* in the “Discover” section of the app (!). What idiocy is this, you may ask? The product manager over this app has failed to do their job. This app’s provided rules require revision and validation, overseen by a competent editor. Not sure how trustworthy the rules given here for other games might be; but this app ought to be a clear, trustworthy, and authoritative reference, yet it clearly is not. : ( No wonder this otherwise potentially useful app receives little notice! Is that not lame? Is this not a stain of dishonour upon the U.S. Playing Card Company? Please revise and update this app! [Note: We were recently reminded of this old app from its advertisement on the outside of a recently-printed pack of Bicycle playing cards, while purchasing them, and also Theory 11 playing cards, from a new retail store display. Then, shortly thereafter, we spotted this app displayed as “Suggested” by Apple in the App Store. However, in years past, we had actually previously encountered, considered, and dismissed this app, because it was clearly lacking love and attention. Sadly, that is actually still the case at this time.]
This is a great reference. Despite what older reviews say, it will let you favorite games you like.
Honestly, I have always wanted to learn how to play Solitaire, I have the game on my phone but would love to learn how to play it with a deck of cards. Since I am a visual learner I think it would be smart to probably just add a how to video in the desired game like “Wish Solitaire” make a how to video on that. Words can be hard to understand for people with the visual learning mind sense. I really hope the Developers of this app can hear me out and probably put this in so it’s easier to access then having to go onto YouTube and type it in and find the right video. Thank you have a wonderful day.
But it needs more card games
Speed card game
There are so many games on here for all ages. If your looking for a new game or arguing about the rules this is the place to go. I wish more people would download it. It’s so useful.
I liked it. The games are fun but the shop icons didn’t seem to work. Overall a good app. Wouldn’t suggest it if you just want it to buy stuff quick, but really good way to learn new card games.
Can’t find rules for Gin Rummy, and others. Love that Gin Rummy is called out in the developers description of the app, yet the app has no rules for it. Seems limited. What is there is good though. Just needs more rules before I keep this on my phone. Let me know when you get those in there
I love the app itself. The only issue that I have is that I would love them to have more game options. There’s not a lot of card games on there. Enough to satisfy me. But it could use a bit more. Most of the games that I know and love aren’t in the app. If not all. But great app itself! You should get it!
I like the sleek new look of the app. I also like the revamp of the game selection. Not sure if this is a mechanic, but a suggested game may also be good
In the rules it mentions points but does not describe a point system. I was taught 5 points numbered cards 10 for face cards. 15 for aces unless used as a 1 in a 123 build.
Please update your app like to learn new games.
Please update for iOS 11 compatibility
Really needs a new update. It won’t even respond.Cant play family night.
Help
Good app. but being advised it will not work with iOS 11. Will be sad to delete the app. if it doesn’t get updated soon.
I absolutely love the app and playing cards, but I am a visual learner so I can't learn from reading the directions. When I find a card game on the app that sounds fun I immediately go to YouTube to watch a video how to play. It would make the app a lot better for visual learners if there were videos integrated. Other then that though the app is awesome.
All it says about passing in Hearts is after you pass, the two of clubs leads. Passing is one of the most critical parts of the game. I can't believe they left it out of the instructions.
I love the layout. Easy to use interface and so many options! Only problem is you can't favorite or save a game. If I really liked it but don't remember the name or how many players/ age group, how am I going to find it? Other than that it's fantastic! I've learned so many new cars games (:
The app works great, but it could use some additional features. How about additional search parameters including betting or number of decks etc.
This app is...mediocre. I mean, it's really good for finding new games to play. HOWEVER, something that I think should be improved is the explanation for how to play the games, although this problem is easily resolved by simply searching up how to play certain games on video websites, such as youtube.
It's a reading app. Doesn't need any sound effects; at least let them be muted
You want to play single player to 5+ players , but tired of the same old games? This app is great for that! I can spend much more time thinking! You probably heard of the game go fish ,but have you ever heard of the game accordion I have it is really fun for 1 person (for when out are really bored and have nothing to do) this app is really great when you are tied of the same old game! LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Bad app..... It could use A LOT pf work!!!!! The card says it has 75 different Games....But.... No it has none!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡
Agram is my new favorite game. I typically play a lot of cards with my siblings, and we love this app. Who would have thought that this app would teach us games from Niger.
I was playing music over AirPlay and tried to use his app. It took over the audio and stopped my music.
I'm pretty sure some of the instructions are wrong. Because I know that Crazy 8's never was about making pairs. Even if there IS a version that does that it's only ever mentioned in the objective. It doesn't explain how to make pairs.
Loud annoying card shuffling sound each time you do anything. I can find no way to turn it down or turn it off. I am unable to use the app unless this is fixed. I will keep the app on my phone in hopes they will be an update to fix this within the next couple of weeks. If not it's bye-bye.
I could easily Google all of these games but I wanted an app that makes it easier but why can't I get rid of the sound effects? They keep stoping my music and it's pissing me off! Other then that I love it so plz put a volume button on the app.
Need more detail in the rules. Great for recommending the games to use depending on number of players and ages.
I was very excited to find this app, I think it is a great idea....however, it is very poorly written. Several games have sections of instructions that belong to a different game entirely. Others have missing parts, and still others are just confusing and misleading. I would expect more from Bicycle.
Great idea, but there are tons of spelling mistakes. It doesn't seem like anyone did any editing or proof reading and just copied the game explanations from somewhere else. You would expect an app from this type of company to be much more polished than it is.
